Building a WordPress theme or plugin is hard work. During the ongoing creation process for my Driftwood Contact Manager theme I realized that the single largest waste of development time (for the average amateur designer) was searching for and learning new code. The problem is that there are just too many resource sites for WordPress. It is near impossible to find exactly what you are looking for in one place.
Well no more! Welcome to the WordPress ModGuide also known as the WPModGuide or simply just the ModGuide. I have searched out and complied hundreds of hacks, snippets, examples, tutorials, tricks, plugins, workarounds and specialized themes for WordPress. Shaw Republic has used a good amount of the code below in our projects and these authors deserve recognition for their contribution to the WP community.
This software platform is fantastic. You can do so much with it. With WordPress your imagination really is the limit. Happy coding and if you write your own example please let us know.
Note: For quick reading How To: prefixes have been removed from any applicable article. Likewise in WordPress has also been removed unless it contains a version number such as 2.9. Sites that you have visited will have a green check mark
following the link.
On the old site WPModGuide was broken down into 10 separate areas and it still is!
The new site wide Table of Contents is…
(now WP Basics) | (now Themes) | |
(now Backend) | ||
(Now Everything Else) | (Now Version Specific) |
